Friends of the Village Hall

Do help us and become a friend of the village hall.  Whether it's by sponsoring an advertisement on the site or by running some kind of fund-raising event either at the hall or elsewhere or by giving of your time for some project that needs doing at the hall - whether you're a seamstress or a plumber we can do with your help.

 The hall is a community facility and a very important one in village life.  It's a place where you can meet friends of a like mind as indeed many already do if they belong to one of the groups that regularly meet here.

Outside of the committee, local residents whom we wish to acknowledge as Friends of the Village Hall are:

Roy Horner
Sept 2010: For varnishing the Village Hall floor and for painting the walls.

Sue Ash
Feb 2010: For holding a Pampered Chef party and kindly contributing a three figure sum to Hall Funds.

Steve Farmbrough
Dec 2008 and 2009: For assistance in arranging the very successful new year's eve dinners

Lesley Crosthwaite
Aug 2009: For making contributions from the proceeds of car boot sales held on her land.

Sue Ash
Ongoing since Summer 2008: For kindly giving of her time in maintaining the planters outside the village hall.

Denise & Lucy Bearne
Organised a Craft Fair and donated profits from the table hire and refreshments totalling £188.00 to village hall funds.
