Village Hall Information

Caston Village Hall is a community facility controlled by a Management Committee on behalf of a board of Trustees for the benefit of Caston and Griston Villages but the Trustees are pleased to offer the facility of hall hire to residents of Stow Bedon and all our surrounding villages. Because it is a community facility the management committee of the hall is aware that the hall should be and indeed is priced at a very competitive rate consistent with ensuring maximum usage of the hall while also covering costs and ensuring that sufficient funds are retained for the furtherance of the hall and its facilities.

The village hall is available at an hourly or daily rate commencing at only £4.00 per hour but the full pricing tariff can be seen here.

Also available to those hiring the hall is

a Table Tennis Table with bats and balls.
A set of carpet bowls/skittles
A darts board

Usage of these items is available at no extra cost to those hiring the hall. We would welcome anyone wanting to start up a club or league using these items or indeed they are available for family games too.

The hall may be used for most recreational purposes including:

Birthday parties
Anniversaries.
Family gatherings
Dancing
Table Tennis (table, bats and balls available)
Carpet Bowls (bowls and carpet available)
Business meetings etc.

The hall must always be vacated by Midnight and noise must be kept down to an acceptable level bearing in mind the location of the village hall which is in a residential area.

Most usage can be agreed immediately by the Booking Secretary but some usage does need to be agreed by the village hall committee so advance bookings are a good idea. The hall Calendar is kept up to date so just check to see if the dates you are interested in are available. If they are then you are invited to complete the on-line booking form or if you prefer you can call the booking secretary:

Once the booking is agreed either by phone or on-line, you may pay either by cheque or by cash to the booking secretary in person or we can send you an on-line payment request and you can pay by credit card. See the booking form for more details.

If you've not used the hall before these are the main details:

60 upholstered chairs
15 folding tables that will take four people
Hall capacity is 60 seated or 100 standing
Lighting is included in the hire costs
Heating is on a £1.00 slot meter

Disabled Facilities

The hall fully complies with the latest regulations in respect of entrance ramp and toilets, and there is a reserved parking bay at the front of the building.

Ample parking facilities are available at the rear of the hall.
